What’s it all about?
An EcoTeam is a group of 6-8 local people who meet to discover simple, effective changes for a more environmentally friendly lifestyle and is a great way to meet new people in your local area. Previous members have
No-one can do everything - but we can all do something!
Everyone is welcome - It doesn't matter if you’re already very green or not! EcoTeams are easy, supportive and free to residents in Rushcliffe!
EcoTeam meetings are informal and very friendly. It takes just five monthly meetings to take the EcoTeam from start to finish. We look at shopping ethically, saving resources, saving energy and traveling wisely and even have a celebration meeting! Every participant receives our information folder which is filled with useful tips, web-links and information. And, if you’d like to be more than a participant, why not receive our one day training to become an EcoTeam Facilitator? (See Below)
With simple monitoring, you’ll also generate your own ‘before’ and ‘after’ results showing the effect of your more sustainable lifestyle.
When and where?
The meetings are held locally (usually within walking distance of participants’ homes) and on dates convenient to the participants.

Train to become an ECOTEAM FACILITATOR
As an EcoTeam Facilitator, you don’t need to be an expert - you just need to be interested in taking simple actions on shopping ethically, saving resources, saving energy and traveling wisely.
Using the information and free resources from the training, you can help a team of about 6-8 people in your street, community group or club to reduce their ecofootprint.
A Facilitator simply helps to organise and run the 5 monthly meetings (up to 2 hrs each) that take the EcoTeam from start to finish.
When and where?
Free 1 day training courses are regularly held in Nottingham City, Broxtowe, Rushcliffe and Gedling. Once you have signed up, you will be sent dates for the next available courses. (Your travel expenses will be reimbursed.)
